The principal focus of the conference was to promote in-depth discussion concerning derivatives, the dissemination of the derivatives concept, and the importance of risk management and price protection. Other important topics that were discussed during the event were international trade, globalization, FTAA, economic growth, Mercosur, market regulation, and the aspects and outlooks for the Brazilian and the world economies.
