BM&FBOVESPA Where You Are Project visits Campo Grande and draws an audience of 660 people
 

The Exchange’s popularization project for rural producers tours the capital of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul


The BM&FBOVESPA Where You Are Project ended its Campo Grande (state of Mato Grosso do Sul) phase on November 7th, attracting a public of 660 people. During the event, which was held at the Federação da Agricultura e Pecuária do Mato Grosso do Sul (Famasul), 210 people attended lectures on personal finance, financial instruments aimed at risk management for agricultural prices, and the basic functions of the stock market, and other related topics. BM&FBOVESPA’s consultants José Alberto Netto Filho and João Pedro Cuthi Dias addressed the crowd who participated in the Exchange’s market outreach project. The activities of the Banco do Brasil regarding agricultural and foreign exchange derivatives were also debated during the event. The BM&FBOVESPA Where You Are “Exchangemobile” traveled though the city of Campo Grande, during three days before the event, and drew 450 people who were interested in raising their awareness about the Exchange and its markets.

The BM&FBOVESPA Where You Are rural edition began in September 2008 and thus far has toured the cities of Campo Mourão, Maringá, and Cascavel, in the state of Paraná; Rio Preto and Presidente Prudente, in the state of São Paulo; and Campo Grande, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. During eight events, the Project attracted approximately 1,310 participants to the lectures and another 2,250 people to the “Exchangemobile’s” mobile outreach. Since its creation in 2002 the BM&FBOVESPA Where You Are events have reached more than 500,000, leading to the creation of 2,600 investment clubs.

In addition to the lectures, brochures, and Q & A sessions, the BM&FBOVESPA Where You Are Project also advertises its activities on local radio stations of the cities its tours.
